Step One
Finding a Property
You will need to determine where you want to build your modular home and then purchase land in that desired location. To find a property, you can research yourself or hire a real estate agent familiar with your area. Since Accolade Homes serves all of Colorado, we can help you regardless of the location you choose. If you have already bought a property, you can move on to the next step.
Step Two
Explore Home Options
The best way to get started is to visit our sales lot, where we can walk you through various models of homes and customization choices. After reviewing our models, we encourage you to look over the hundreds of floor plans available on our website and set an appointment to go over the features you want to include.
Step Three
Design Your Home
We will help you select a floor plan that best suits you and your site. If you are trying to have the perfect view, a large walk-out basement, or a simple ranch-style home with minimal stairs, we will create a modular home that meets your needs. In doing so, we will have many excellent options to leverage, from customizing the kitchens and bathrooms to merging features of several plans into one. When we finalize the plans for your new home, our drafting department will draw the specifications for your approval.
Step Four
Analyze Your Land
We will visit your land and conduct a walk-through to determine how you want your site laid out, and modular home positioned. We will discuss factors that will help us build your dream home and save you money, like the views you want to see and the needed site-work. Once we know everything about your land and the home you want to build, we will begin the next stage.
Step Five
Establish a Budget
Once we have reviewed your land and designed a floor plan that meets your needs, we will establish a budget for the construction. To create an accurate budget, we will need to obtain bids for all the work that will be executed onsite, such as the foundation, roof, assembly, HVAC, and plumbing. If you are buying a new parcel of land, the final cost will include the price of your home. We then combine the entire budget into a complete land home package or merely a home-only loan that you can provide to your bank or lender.
Step Six
Time to Build
With modular and manufactured homes, the construction process is much faster than conventional site-building. With a large portion constructed in a controlled environment at the factory, we will build your dream home in weeks, not months or years, like site-built homes. Once we order your home, we will provide an estimated delivery date and a timeline for move-in.
